Lockdown: Qur’an Ceremony 2020 in Pictures
Without our annual Qur’an Ceremony taking place this year due to #Lockdown restrictions, our first-year Qur’an students received their Qur’ans hand-delivered to their homes instead.
A message from our Director
I bask in the warmth and familiar fragrance of the mosque as I enter it.
When I step in, I feel like I am at home, protected from everything negative, isolated from forces which threaten to weaken my faith and resolve in Him. How we miss you Oh House of Allah! How we miss our fellow seekers in the mosque with their glowing faces and illuminated hearts!
Dear Students and Staff of Zahraa Institute – we have been blessed with a bond stronger then most other bonds forged… Our bonds were forged in the purest of places, within our banquet of the Holy Qur’an… We can only sincerely thank Him for granting us these moments together for we do not know what lay ahead on this journey and whether our provisions will run out before we reach the finish line. We don’t know who will be left soundly after the storm settles and who will be in the company of their Rabb waiting for the rest of us…
This is such a scary thought, yet this is the way we should live everyday.
We have truly forgotten, we have truly displayed ingratitude, we have truly embraced heedlessness. All is not lost though, in fact, we have so much to gain.
My Dear Ones, let us seize this chance to reclaim our hearts, to truly show gratitude to Him and to be mindful in all of our moments…
Enjoy the ‘itikaaf and spiritual gifts which you can reap in your homes as much as you would in a masjid. We have been blessed with that gift…
To transform the “ordinary” to blessed, merely with an intention.
My prayers are always with you and so is my heart. Thinking of all of you and praying that we are gifted with the ability to remain true to our intention of placing Qur’an first.
Ramadaan Kareem to you and your families 💐✨
I end off with the Du’a we make together everyday, every class…
“Oh The Changer of Hearts, make our hearts steadfast upon Your religion.”
With love and Du’as always,
Radia
