Attaining Barakah in your Money
Have you ever experimented with Sadaqah? In one of our course lessons, our teacher shared her experience regarding her finances with us.
Our teacher explained to us how she would intend 2% of her income back to Allah, and her money would stretch further than before. This was because of the Barakah Allah put in it. It’s like banking with Allah (ﷻ). Thereafter, she was able to increase the Sadaqah to 5%.
I tried it. Every month I spend until the last cent of my money, but this month I still had money left.
Alhamdulillah.
Since I started analysing this verse, Allah (ﷻ) opened so many doors for me. SubhanAllah. I have to say shukran so much to our teacher for sharing this with us.
What you spend in the path of Allah doesn’t have to be just money. Allah knows the value in us spending our time, skills, or even love and forgiveness. In the words of a hadith of the prophet Muhammad (ﷺ):
“Charity does not decrease wealth, and Allah only increases the honour of the slave who forgives. And no one shows humility except that Allah raises him.” [Sahih Muslim]
