The Al Ghazali Festival Tour of SA
One of Islam’s greatest scholars, Imam al-Ghazali, will be the focus of The Al Ghazali Festival, set to take place in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban from 17th October to 27th October 2018.
Not-to-be-missed, the festival features a conference, book expo as well as workshops for teachers and parents showcasing the exciting launch of the Al Ghazali Children’s Project.
We invite you to join Zahraa Institute in partnership with Baitul Hikmah and others, as we unravel the mysteries surrounding the works of Al Ghazali and make them available to the Muslim public in an accessible form, by navigating through his works and availing them through international scholars such as Professor Mustafa Abu Sway, Sister Ayesha Grey, Sheikh Sharif Al Banna and Sheikh Hamzah Maqbul. About the Festival
Conference & Book Expo:
The conference aims to bring the works of Al Ghazali to the centre stage, making them easily accessible to the Muslim public and play a role in reviving the messages that Imam Ghazali gave to the Ummah and their relevance today.
Parents & Teachers Workshop:
The workshop will launch the Al Ghazali Children’s Project which is an adaptation of his Ihya for children in story form with workbooks. It aims to support Muslim parents, teachers, and children in realising how to live by and embody the noble Prophetic character through self-observation and self-correction. The series aims to provide authentic, quality guidance through Ghazali’s systematic approach for developing virtuous character.
