Reflecting on the Unveiling – A Returning Heart
Facebook InstagramPain. Desperation. Regret. Loss. Lost.
All feelings of the human condition. All were palpable in the air at this year’s Unveiling Conference that one couldn’t be blamed for being engrossed in each speaker’s presentation. One attendee described the speakers as, “the future mothers of our Ummah”.
Tearing my eyes away from the stage, I realised that I was sitting alongside a woman who was crying silently. I looked further and found a sea of women, and tears. Tears for reasons unknown. So much was unspoken. I felt helpless. But not alone. I realised that in every heart, there are hidden struggles; and in these moments, they were collectively felt.
Felt within the (spiritual) heart. A heart yearning to return to its original state and place. To recall its Source and Point of Return. To uncover its God-given fitrah.
And it is this precise goal of one’s heart that the Unveiling Conference hopes to achieve, God-willing.
But, are we willing?
Willing to bridge the gap between our hearts and our Creator?
Willing to remember and to be reminded?

Time passed, and the event was over.
And then this happened – hearts opened.
“When I was walking towards the event, I thought to myself, ‘This cannot be better than last year’. Upon walking in, I was amazed at how beautifully the hall was set up. I was filled with excitement and fear of disappointment. SubhanAllah, it was as if Allah was responding to me personally through every speaker. I could literally feel my heart pounding as I sat and listened. It was Al-Lateef knowing all the issues brewing in my heart, who sent those ladies to guide me and help me soften my heart towards myself, acknowledge some of my pain and the pain my loved ones may be experiencing and how to deal with them.”
“Wow. What an amazing experience. It was my very first time… and Alhamdulillah I found that I am not the only one facing personal difficulties and that I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. It definitely was spiritually uplifting. I did not stop crying for one moment. Shukran for allowing our Ummah to be able to be part of such a beautiful gathering.”

“SubhanAllah, the Unveiling attracts more and more ladies every year, Alhamdulillah. Every year, you walk away from the event with renewed intentions. WHY? Because what the speakers share speaks to every woman or young lady in the audience and they re-iterate that to Allah (swt), everyone is important and unique and it is not difficult to have a relationship with your Creator.”
“When sitting in these conferences, it always leaves me at ease and peace.. So much knowledge learnt in such a short period of time. Alhamdulillah.”
“This event helped me to dig deeper within myself. I loved the last session which gave the practical steps on “returning your heart” on what to do next and engaging in du’a after experiencing such an amazing heart awakening event. Alhamdulillah.”

“What an awesome event, I had goosebumps all the way. The advice given.. Allahu Akbar, I made Thuhr yesterday with renewed faith and commitment.”
“I attended this beautiful ladies Islamic conference and found it truly inspirational and spiritually uplifting. It made me more aware that Salah and Qur’an is not enough and that we truly need to connect with our Rabb from our hearts and help us to truly believe in all those beautiful 99 Names of Allah (swt) to guide us through these challenging times.”
“Absolutely wonderful! I didn’t want it to end.. Indeed, the highlight of my Ramadan. The live-feed made it possible to share in the experience whilst hibernating with my new baby, and having my toddler by my side too. So grateful for this, Alhamdulillah.”
Relief. Love. Hope. Light. Found.
All feelings of the human condition. All found within the remembrance of Allah (swt).
Tearing my eyes away from these reflections, I realised that unquestionably, “Verily, in the remembrance of our Creator, do hearts find rest.” [Qur’an, 13:28]
The result of the remembrance of our Source. Our Point of Return. Our Creator (swt).
The result of spreading the lights of peace, prosperity and guidance.
